Low Histamine Pesto

So far I still haven’t been able to tolerate any nuts in my pesto but macademia nuts seem to be the safest option IF you can get them fresh. Pine nuts are also a relatively safe option and more traditional. The nuts add a lot of good creaminess so its much better with them added but still a good sauce even without them. Its a good way to freeze basil and add freshness to later meals.

Ingredients

3 cloves garlic

2 cups basil (or more)

1/2 cup nuts

1/4 cup olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

Blend all ingredients together.

Freeze in small portions. You can freeze in an ice cube tray for easy scaleable portions.
